NOISY OFFERING : for the month of October will go to our Thanksgiving Meal that we prepare for the community and the congregation. This has been well attended in the past. There is a lot of work that goes into putting this meal together. Carolyn Matzinger is in charge this year so please contact her if you can help in any way. ALTAR FLOWERS this morning are placed in loving memory of Bill Yingling, by his family. BULLETINS this month are given by Cyndi Yingling. Dedications for both the bulletins and the flowers are found at SIGN UP CENTRAL in the green notebook. $10 for flowers and $10 for bulletin dedications. Each week our flowers are donated to Flowers for Friends to be distributed throughout the community. Please check the volunteer schedule in the green binder at the sign up table. The volunteer list beginning January 2018 is available in the green notebook. Please cross your name off of the list if you are unable to volunteer. If you can find a substitute please fill in the name. If you can’t find one, let the office know. It is important for the office to have this information. DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ENDS: Don’t forget to change your clocks Saturday night. CHOIR & CHIMES NEWS: NO PRACTICE ON 10/31. PAPER PANTRY DONATIONS: If any of you do not use the products given to you following a dental appointment please bring them in for the Paper Pantry distribution. Remember that this outreach program works on donations only. This past Thursday we served 87 people. Our numbers have grown lately so please remember to donate to the Paper Pantry when you can. So many people have told us how thankful they are for our help. Hand out dates for the rest of the year are: Thursday, November 8th, 5-6:30PM and December 13th, 5-6:30PM. There is only one hand out each month, instead of two, because of the holidays. COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING DINNER: Our dinner is on Sunday, November 18th with serving times 11:00AM, 12:00PM and 1:00PM. Everyone is welcome. If you know someone who might be alone or just can’t fix a Thanksgiving meal invite them to attend. THE GIFT OF SONG: The Northern Michigan Chorale and Little Traverse Youth Choir present The Gift of Song on Saturday, November 17 at 3:00and 7:30PM and Sunday, November 18 at 300PM at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts in Bay Harbor. Tickets are available at the door or call 231-439-2610. REMEMBER OUR SERVICE PEOPLE: With the holidays just around the corner it would be nice to remember our members who are in the service and might not be able to come home. I’m sure they would love to get a card or a note telling them they’re thought of. November 11th is Veterans Day, take time to tell a veteran thank you for serving. THE GATHERING for Senior High Youth Groups will be held at the Radisson Hotel in Lansing on December 27th-30th. The study will be Jesus and those Bodacious Women staring every Monday morning at 8:15AM at the church. BIBLE STUDY ON MONDAYS AT 6PM : under the leadership of Cindy Bergstrom at her home at 2286 River Road. Her phone number is 231-838-9675. Everyone is invited and we will be studying “The Beatitudes and Living the Blessed Life” books will be available through Cindy.
