This has been well attended in the past. There is a lot of work that goes into putting this meal together. Carolyn Matzinger is in charge this year so please contact her if you can help in any way. ALTAR FLOWERS this morning are placed in thanksgiving to God for his many blessings. BULLETINS this month are given by Cyndi Yingling. Dedications for both the bulletins and the flowers are found at SIGN UP CENTRAL in the green notebook. $10 for flowers and $10 for bulletin dedications. Each week our flowers are donated to Flowers for Friends to be distributed throughout the community. THANKS BE TO GOD FOR OUR VOLUNTEERS The Time and Talent Volunteer sheets for 2018 can’t be found so it’s important for people to sign up. Please check the volunteer schedule in the green binder at the sign up table. The volunteer list beginning January 2018 is available in the green notebook. Please cross your name off of the list if you are unable to volunteer. If you can find a substitute please fill in the name. If you can’t find one, let the office know. It is important for the office to have this information. REFORMATION SUNDAY OCTOBER 28TH: Don’t forget to wear red and that there’s a luncheon after the ten o’clock service. It is the fourth Sunday of the month so remember there is only the ten o’clock service. CHOIR & CHIMES NEWS: The choir and chimes will practice on October 24th; choir at 7-8PM and chimes from 6-7PM. New members are always welcome. PAPER PANTRY: Last week we had 72 people come to paper pantry. Please remember the paper pantry operates on donations of items or money. Without your gifts we could not continue this project. The people are so thankful for what they receive. PAPER PANTRY DONATIONS: If any of you do not use the products given to you following a dental appointment please bring them in for the Paper Pantry distribution. Remember that this outreach program works on donations only. SOUP KITCHEN NEWS: October is here. Think about what you can do to help. The soup kitchen has four Thursdays that we need to prepare and serve food . If you can help with food or serve be sure to sign up in the green volunteer notebook by the church office. If you have questions call Sue Finley at 231-439-9101. POTLUCK AND PHOTO SESSION: Today from 11AM-3PM join us for a soup potluck and mini photo session. The Mini photo sessions will be with photographer Hilary Harrington for $25 for all members and $35 for non-members (a major bargain) – setting will be a fall theme. Each mini session will take 10-15 minutes at the most, depending on the number of people per photo. If you need more than one photo shoot, please reserve two spaces and you will be charged for two sessions. (Example, you need 3-5 pictures of just kids, this is one session and another session would be 3-5 of your family.) Each session will include 3-5 photos delivered digitally to you to print. With your consent, the photos will be used for a church directory/bulletin board. If you are interested, please sign up and you’ll be assigned a time for your mini-photo session. Please bring a $25 or $35 check the day of the session made out to Hilary Harrington or cash. We will also be collecting items for the paper pantry, feel free to bring an item to donate on this day. The study will be Jesus and those Bodacious Women staring every Monday morning at 8:15AM at the church. BIBLE STUDY ON MONDAYS AT 6PM : under the leadership of Cindy Bergstrom at her home at 2286 River Road. Her phone number is 231-838-9675. Everyone is invited and we will be studying “The Beatitudes and Living the Blessed Life” books will be available through Cindy. SUNDAY SCHOOL: If your child is between the ages of 4 years old up to 10 years of age they are Sunday School age. The theme this year is Putting on the Whole Armor of God.
